The mayor of Bahía Blanca, Federico Susbielles, highlighted the level of civic responsibility of the community during a press conference. He thanked the provincial Ministry of Security for maintaining more than 700 personnel in the city and emphasized the collaboration with federal forces, including the presence of Minister Patricia Bullrich, Prefectura, Gendarmería, and the Federal Police of Argentina, who work together to ensure the safety of the residents of Bahía Blanca.

Bahía Blanca, with a population of 340,000 inhabitants, has received aid from different parts of the country, which is being processed for delivery. 100 tons of food have been distributed, more than 18,000 liters of bleach, and 1,300 mattresses are in the process of delivery, with 300 in stock. 500 evacuation centers have been opened to assist those who have suffered damages, with more than 70% of Bahía Blanca residents severely affected.

Regarding public services, electrical supply has been restored by 70% by the company EDES. Concerning water, the situation is gradually improving in areas such as Ingeniero White, Boulevard, and Saladero, which are beginning to return to normal. Currently, there are 523 evacuees and efforts are underway to drain areas such as the end of the street before entering the port, which still presents water accumulation.

In the case of General Daniel Cerri, water has affected an area of farms without posing a risk to residents, and the Army is providing assistance with special trucks. In neighborhoods like 17 de Agosto, Viajantes del Sur, and Villa Hipódromo, three pumps are being used to progressively drain water from low-lying areas. In terms of security, no incidents or violent situations have been reported in recent hours, as confirmed by the mayor during the press conference.
